Concord Equinox has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2023 in the Lighting Design category which is a proof of the product’s innovative features and cutting-edge technology.

A truly unique and innovative solution

The Concord Equinox is a cutting-edge lighting fixture designed with the latest optical technology. It boasts an adjustable optical system that not only emits light downwards but also upwards, creating a stunning halo effect on the ceiling.

Developed in partnership with Quarkstar, the Equinox incorporates innovative light refraction technology, allowing for the integration of an indirect lighting component without additional optics. This results in a sleek and conceptual design that meets the highest European interior lighting standards, with a Unified Glare Rating (UGR) of less than 19.

The luminaire comes in both trim and trimless versions for installation in plaster ceilings, offering up to 2500 lumens and high efficiency of up to 125lm/W with CRI90 LED chips for superior colour rendering.

Structuring and embellishing spaces

The vertical section that forms the optics acts as a mixing chamber and creates a light pathway. Its job is to guide the flux from the LED to the edges of the optics. Beyond illumination, Equinox’s design empowers users to shape space and evoke emotion.

Depending on the atmosphere you want, there are two possible settings:

Non-extended Optics

For a subtle presence

When the optics are non-extended, Concord Equinox has a more discreet appearance and creates a halo closer to the luminaire on the ceiling, embracing it and creating reference points for bringing the space to life.

Extended Optics

For a suspended appearance

When the optics are extended, the lit section of Concord Equinox gives the impression of being suspended a few centimetres from the ceiling. The halo projected onto the ceiling stretches from the
luminaire like a shadow, reinforcing the idea of levitation.

The Equinox optics

Using QuarkStar award-winning system of light refraction, Equinox provides functional downlighting with simultaneous upper lighting. The halo effect can be regulated with a unique adjustable optic system which helps to create the desirable lighting effect.

The entire body of the luminaire has a durable design, developed to be perfectly integrated into all types of ceilings or formwork. The setting of the optics can be adjusted with the aid of thumb wheels.

LumiNature Models

Concord Equinox has two LumiNature models available with high colour rendering of CRI97 in Human Centric Lighting Tunable White version (2700K-6500K) equipped with SylSmart SSC driver.

The LumiNature solution is best used as part of an installation in spaces which do not have access to natural light, or for users working at night.

By replicating the effects of natural daylight, LumiNature stimulates our biorhythm and improves our sleep, our productivity and, in general, our mood. Its complete spectral curve eliminates blue peaks and makes it one of the most natural artificial lights.
